A DPC agreement is not insurance. Membership with Westwood Direct Primary Care covers only the services listed above. All other services must be paid for by the patient. A DPC membership on its own does not satisfy the health coverage requirements of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Specialist fees, emergency room visits, and surgical procedures are not included. We recommend keeping separate insurance for hospitalization and emergencies, and talking with an insurance professional about the right pairing for you.
